Halcyon won "Best in City" for the 2009 48 Hour Film Competition in Salt Lake City.
The film follow two sisters who exist on the fringes of a dystopic city. They long for the life inside the clean community "Halcyon", but radiation poinsoning keeps them from achieving their happiness. Determination keeps them coming back to the community's gates, and the test that could set them free.
After winning the 2009 48 Hour Film Project in Salt Lake City, The Dada Factory competed in the Project's 'International Shootout', a world-wide competition of all the previous city winners.
Tasked with the theme 'end of the world', the crew put together a story about the last few hours of humanity. The film explores the question, what would you do in your last few hours, and who would you spend it with?
